The Pope has officially accepted the resignation of Auxiliary Bishop Pat Power in a statement released last night.
Farewells for Bishop Power are being held across the Archdiocese. Canberra’s Catholics will farewell him on Tuesday, 19 June, with Mass at 6pm at St Christopher’s Cathedral, Manuka. Supper will be provided directly after Mass at St Edmund’s College hall, where people will be able to greet Bishop Power. Those wishing to bring a plate may do so.

Batemans Bay, 11am today, Mass/lunch; Queanbeyan, 9am, Sunday,
10 June Mass, St Raphael's, then morning tea; Cooma, 3.30pm, Friday 15
June; Young, 2pm, Sunday, 24 June liturgy/ afternoon tea; Goulburn,
10am, Friday, 29 June Mass and morning tea.
